Square-Enix’s Long, Drawn-Out Final Fantasy XIII Demo

A recent issue of Famitsu revealed that the demo for Final Fantasy XIII might be up to two hours long.
(”Gasp!”)
120 minutes of wailing bishonen scratching each other with their swords! All for the low price of whatever the Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete Blu-ray will cost!
(”…”)
We give a lot of thought to Father Time in a society that gasps for time like a diver for air. What does two hours amount to, exactly? Joystiq has a few comparisons.
“To put that in perspective, here are a few things that the demo (which the same Famitsu article revealed will cover the very beginning of XIII) will likely last longer than: an expeditious playthrough of Portal, the Anglo-Zanzibar War, an international soccer match (barring any lengthy penalties), and the celebrity status of Lou Bega. (Who? Exactly.)”
Ugh. I think Square-Enix knows that it must make Final Fantasy XIII very important. I dread that’s going to add up to a tortured 100-hour gaming experience that will scream for its end long before it receives it.

Pssst! Wrong FFXIII in the image, there.
Oops! Thanks! Too bad though, I thought I had an awesome alt tag. Aren’t I just clever.
