Ben Yoskovitz just pinged me this afternoon that they officially announced that they will be presenting at DEMO08:
There’s no turning back now! Standout Jobs is very excited to announce that we’re launching at DEMO 08 in Palm Desert, California. The event runs from January 28th-30th.
This is a huge opportunity for us. The DEMO stage is really like no other. We get 6-minutes to give a product demonstration and make our pitch. It’s 2 days of networking, pitching, schmoozing and generating as much buzz as we possibly can. Only 70 companies are invited to attend, and we’re honored to be one of them. Ben and I have known each other for while and worked at both b5media and One By One Media-after all this time I’ll finally get to meet him in person! W00t! Regardless thanks to Ben I was also offered a press pass to DEMO this month and with a reported five Canadian startups presenting I jumped at the chance to attend. I haven’t been to DEMO before, but I’ve heard awesome things about it. You can bet that I’ll be taking pics and probably doing some interviews as well.
Live blogging? Count on it.
If you are one of the other Canadian companies presenting at DEMO08, please drop me a line so I can set aside time for you. I want to give everyone a chance for an interview, etc. I can be reached at tris.hussey[at]b5media.com.
See you at DEMO!

Very cool Tris – do you know who the other 4 start-ups are?
Tris – I’m looking forward to meeting you at DEMO. Should be a blast. It’s nice to hear Canada will have some good representation from companies and press.
Hey Rob … not yet, I’ll tell you … right after I blog it! ;).
Thanks Ben-Palm Desert will be a nice change from Montreal, eh?
Tell me about it. The place looks beautiful and the weather should be great…anything would beat this ridiculous weather. One day it’s cold enough to freeze the hairs on the back of your neck, the next day: rain. Oh and a smog warning. *sigh*
