Stay on top of tech news with cool tools

Keeping up with tech news? Here’s some cool sites and essential tools to help you:wall street journal icon

  1. Betanews.com : the latest patches, the latest releases, rated, reviewed, with download stats and download links
  2. Digg.com : where to find breaking news and worthy sites, rated by its own digg community. Join and have fun
  3. Wired.com Great reviews and user surveys keep you on top of trends: Web 2.0 Winners and losers
  4. Great News : This is my favorite rss reader, bar none. I’ve used many: “read all your headline news in a glimse… “
  5. The Wall Street Journal : the print edition is a steal at under ~$100/year and included with that, you receive an online membership to read online articles. (your price may vary… )
  6. Headline portals: Daily Rotation (my longtime favorite) and NetVibes.com
  7. News.Google.com use advanced search to get your news 100 headlines at a time.
  8. A great blog: CyberNet News Does this guy ever sleep? doubt it. He’s got the scoop on everything from Microsoft Office to Vista to Google tools, etc.
  9. A good windows site: Paul Thorrott’s SuperSite
