Staying Involved, Now that Football Season is Almost Over

Football season is almost over. Sigh. We have one more big hurrah tomorrow, and then it will be August until we get to cheer on our favorite teams again. Who else is a bit depressed?

So what will you be doing to stay involved with college football during the off-season? Here’s my short-list of football activities until next fall:

  • Stay up-to-date with college recruiting. A number of high school seniors have already made their choices, but many great prospects have not.
  • Check out how some of the rookies are doing in the playoffs. As a rule, I’m not really interested in NFL football, but I do want to see how some of last year’s amazing college players are doing in playoff situations.
  • Keep my eye on the draft. It’s happening in a few months, and every day more and more players are announcing that they’re foregoing their final college year to enter it.
  • Try out some new football game day recipes. That way, I’ll be ready to go with brand new, totally yummy ideas for next season.

How are you going to keep yourself occupied?
