Steelers and Big Ben route the Chiefs

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Pittsburgh Helmet The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing NFL Football again. Yesterday they destroyed the Kansas City Larry Johnsons 45 to 7. The Steelers have returned!

When you look at the NFL certain teams stand out in the way they get the job done or don’t get the job done. Fairly or not we tend to draw conclusions. For instance,… St. Louis vs. Seattle was a game of two passing teams that do not have the best passing defenses. Indy is a team with great offense and can’t stop the run.

Pittsburgh has that rep of being pretty plain Jane on offense. The type of offense that will not depend on the quarterback being great for them to win. Their defense can win games for them and give field position to their offense. Now take that impression and look at how talented Big Ben can be and how they use him and it makes Pittsburgh still a major factor.

Football Blog of the Week Try The Armchair Quarterback. Arm is relentless in his team reviews!

Knowing that they do have a young, but beat up, quarterback, it was only a matter of time before Big Ben started to feel a little better and they started to play well as a team. Now what does the future hold?

With McNair hurt at Baltimore (team impression, great defense, depend on Steve Smith on offense) and Carson Palmer still young and inexperienced and trying to come back from his injury (Cinci impression – powerful offense lead by classic throwing qb, great wideouts and straight ahead bruising runner) there is still plenty of time for Pittsburgh to take the division.

NFL Football Fan Question Are you starting to believe in Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers?

As always, any NFL Football related comment is welcome.
