Steelers Give Wilson the Boot for Throwing a Punch

You might recall that a couple of months ago, we did few posts (here, here, and here, to be precise) on the dysfunctional-is-an-understatement relationship between Pittburgh Steelers WR Cedrick Wilson and his ex-girlfriend/baby mama Lindsay Paulat.
Well, now that’s no longer the case. Oh, the ex-twosome is still a train wreck; that part remains true. But the Steelers part? Not so much.
The team—thankfully—said “don’t let the door hit you on the way out” to Wilson this morning. The suits let him go after seeing the most recent episode of the Days of Our Lives: The Wilson-Paulat Story.
The now-former Steeler, who apparently suffered damage to the common sense region of his brain over the course of his football career, pulled a WTF? of epic proportions. He spotted Paulat at a witness-laden restaurant and—smaht and classy guy alert—punched her.
You can read about the couple’s sordid history here if you’re in the mood to shake your head in judgmental wonderment. And hey, who wouldn’t be in the mood for that?
What else are you going to do today, obsess over your NCAA brackets and check scores every 10 minutes (um, like us)?

EXACTLY! We’ll be checking our brackets constantly. I can’t wait to do a post on this site. Your readers are itching for some Apples & Moustaches…I can feel it.
Not so fast, Magglio. That itch you feel? It’s the moustache!
It’s good to see the Steelers organization taking a stance against these players and their domestic issues off the field. Professional sports in general need to follow the Steelers’ role and play a bigger part in cleaning up these athletes’ acts.
You won’t find any argument here, Tim. The Steelers are indeed raising the bar . . . let’s hope other teams follow.
