Yesterday, the world lost Steve McNair. The former MVP quarterback who played for the Houston Oilers, Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens was found dead in a Nashville condo. While police won’t officially say it, it sounds like McNair’s death was a murder suicide.
Although McNair was shot at least four times, the other dead person at the scene had a lone gunshot wound to the head. Saleh Kazemi, who is reportedly McNair’s girlfriend, also had the suspected murder weapon located near her deceased body.
Police have ruled that McNair’s death was a homicide, however they haven’t ruled that Kazemi’s death is a homicide. That missing piece of information has fueled the murder-suicide speculation.
Although McNair is married, he had reportedly been dating Kazemi for three or four months. The two even went on a vacation together. Pictures of their vacation are available on TMZ.com.
Following forensic testing, the police should be able to tell whether the crime scene was indeed a murder-suicide.
No matter the outcome, R.I.P. Steve McNair.
