Still Knocking on the First Beta of Vista SP1

Microsoft announced at the end of August that Windows SP1 Beta version is going to be in the hands of the testers in a few weeks but they did not actually specify a specific date.
People are already getting impatient as they have already set a specific deadline — this week. Around 10,000 to 15,000 testers who where invited (copy of invites here) for the beta test are expected to get their copy of the service pack.
The beta version has not yet arrived and as a quick win, Microsoft sent an email to the testers that they are part of the program and would receive their copy real soon. That is a management strategy trick employed anytime the deadline looks shaky.
I hope the testers would get their copy real soon and this should work best for Microsoft — I am sure they are doing everything they can.
