Street Fighter IV Cast In Action
Here’s some footage of Street Fighter IV from AOU, a Japanese arcade show. Only the good Lord knows for sure why Ryu looks so goofy; everyone else looks pretty okay, including newcomers Abel and Crimson Viper. There’s been mention of Chun-Li’s thunder thighs, but hey, she’s Chun-Li, people. If anyone can defend the Earth using only her lower limbs, it’s the girl in blue.

Man, I don’t know. I don’t get fighting games.
I just listened to the Street Fighter Retronauts two days ago and it was like they were speaking another language.
This goes back even to when I was little and rarely wanted to rent fighters because they seemed like you were only getting 1/4th of a game. No levels? No real bosses? Just two people fighting? Eh.
I have made a few exceptions, like the goofy Bandai Ultraman and Primal Rage, but they were VERY grudging exceptions.
Street Fighter’s been the only fighting series I ever put any emotional investment into. I grew up with the characters, so I’ve always fostered a certain love for them. I’m also not bad at the games–not fantastic, but I can hold my own until some arcade-dweller inevitably pwns me.
