StumbleUpon, the best way to discover new sites and video content on the Internet, now delivers online video into the living room. With the launch of a customized version of Stumble Video for Nintendo’s Wii video game console, StumbleUpon combines the power to discover videos on the Internet with the ability to watch these videos on television. By visiting Stumble.tv, Wii users can discover and rate personalized video content from StumbleUpon’s fast growing community of more than 1.8 million members who have stumbled more than 1 billion times.
The Stumble Video features provide an innovative gateway for video gamers to discover video content on the Internet without use of additional hardware. More than 6 million Wii consoles have been sold worldwide since they went on sale last fall.
I am one of those who went after each buyer’s neck just to get hold of the Wii. Unless my daughter gives up playing, I do not see myself being able to test this feature from Stumble Video. But we’ll see… I’ll snatch that Wii remote once she sleeps.
Disclosure: I am a Wii Tennis Professional and I’m not even kidding.
