Stupid Beer Thieves Leave Trail of Beer Cans

Some stories, no matter how silly, are just too good to pass up. Like this one…

In my home state of North Carolina, a trail of beer cans helped police solve a break-in in Roanoke Rapids. Around 5:30 a.m. on June 30, three teenagers smashed the windows of a local market, stealing the cash register and two cases of beer.

Deputy Charlie Jenkins of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Department found a trail of beer cans that led behind the store. The trail led him to Justin Blake Barnes, Joshua Wayne Fisher and Jacob Matthew Daniels. The three were charged with breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods and damage to real property.

Two of the men were reportedly arrested before on similar charges… Clearly, they need to work on their strategy.

Of course, all of this begs the question: what beer were they drinking?
