I don’t do this nearly enough to call it anything more than a periodic series, but I do read some 1000 blogs a week, and I can always find at least 6 articles that may be interesting for you. You’ll see more of these on Sundays, as Sundays are good days to grab a hot cup of coffee, plunk down in front of your computer, and surf around for a few minutes.

Sunday Six Pack of Management Goodness

Sunday Six Pack

Why you should NEVER allow employees to work out their full 2 weeks (or even work until the end of the day) – Not much I can say about this, as it’s 4 pictures, but you’ll understand why in just a second :)

Advice from Seth Godin – Great Q & A with my favorite marketer, Seth Godin. All questions were asked by folks like you and me, and they are really good questions. Check them out!

The Presenter Center – If you’re a manager who needs to present in front of their team, I’ll bet you could use a few tips on how to do it more effectively? If so, check out The Presenter Center, full of great free resources!

8 Characteristics of Highly Effective Workplaces – Wally Bock has a fantastic list of 8 characteristics of highly effective workplaces. Of particularly awesome note is a link to a PDF of how you can step through this exercise with your employees.

Better Meetings, Better Leadership – Steve Roesler offers some fantastic tips on how to change the value and the impact of meetings. Well done!

Network is Two Words – A little helpful self-promotion here from me: Bookmark this link for a conversation I am having with Joan Schramm on June 3rd from 6:30 – 7:00 PM Eastern time, where we’ll talk all about how to build your network BEFORE you need it, and tips on networking for job seekers and those looking to improve their role in life. It’ll only take 30 minutes of your life, and if you miss it, you can go back and listen to the replay.
