office2007logo.jpgI know that you like to be more productive with your Office applications but there are drawbacks that limits us to do such, like the file formats they support. Specifically, Open Document Format (ODF) is not support by default by some version of Microsoft Office. At times, we need to work with such Open Document Format (ODF), such files created using OpenOffice.org or StarOffice, with Microsoft Office and do some editing but we have a problem of readability.

Well, that’s not a problem anymore because Sun Microsystems created a tool that which helps us move on, that is with the Sun ODF Plugin for Microsoft Office.

Sun’s ODF Plugin for Microsoft Office, which works with Microsoft Office 2007 (Service Pack 1 or higher), Microsoft Office 2003, XP and Microsoft Office 2000, is a tool that gives us the ability to read, edit and save ISO-standard Open Document Format (ODF) using Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel and Powerpoint). Currently at version 1.1, it now supports more that 16 languages and improves the import and export of ODF files into Microsoft Office, increasing the interoperability of the Plugin.
