Surprising news: ZAP-Youngman to Revive Detroit Electric
Remember the Alias? The $30,000 electric sports car by ZAP (that strangely looks like the Batmobile)? It’s the first of several models picked up by the ZAP-Youngman Automotive joint-venture donning the name, Detroit Electric. Started over 100 years ago, among the revival’s plans are a throwback to their original car, the Alias, and other all-electric vehicles.
Before anyone writes this off as a losing venture, take note of who’s manning the helm. None other than former Lotus CEO, Albert Lam. The winds are changing, and it looks like ZAP’s riding the wave of the future.
