Synchronized Vista Crashes?

January 30, 2008 by Jason Bean

My boss’s laptop, running Vista, crashed this morning. It had been plugged in the entire time, but when he started it up at our client the battery went from 100% charged to 6% and then died.

When he powered it back on it said it had recovered from a severe crash and provided a link to a fix. He clicked the link, downloaded the fix and installed it. Seems to be working now.

My wife just IM’d me and said her computer just blacked out and died, but it was plugged-in to the wall.

Are the two events related? Both computers are Toshiba laptops. My wife didn’t get the severe error prompt or fix with a link.

Hmmmmm.

I have windows vista and microsoft 07 office suite. About a week ago my computer started crashing repeatedly. As long as I am using it, works fine. Let it go idle for 20-30 minutes and it locks up. Often I have to reboot twice to get it going. Help please.
