Synthravels is a real tour operator that provides guided tours (with tour guides, sorta) to many famous virtual worlds such as The Sims Online, World of Warcraft amd Second Life. I envision that group tour packages are not far away. As for now is only one guide to one visitor.
You can either join as a visitor or a guide (and it’s free).
Synthravels is the first organization to offer a complete guide service to all the people who want to make a tour in virtual worlds without knowing these new realities, even if they have never put their feet in these strange, synthetic grounds.
The tours and the destinations are chosen by the staff of Synthravels, composed by programmers, architects, experienced video gamers.

Wow, thanks a lot for this. This is absolutely cool!
First Time I have read about this. Is this still something that is going on? It really is a good idea. I would think it would help alot of the Bigger titles to keeping new people that are just starting out. I do know sometimes entering a new world with so many things to learn and explore. It does send some running away screaming. Having someone guide people thru the ropes of the game in the start of there career. Would help them out so much more and beable to understand the ins and outs alot better! Cheers for a great Idea!
