System requirements for Mirror’s Edge released

The system specs for Mirror’s Edge isn’t that demainding.

The minimum system requirements for Mirror’s Edge, a first-person “action adventure” game, was released by EA during NVISION 08. Interestingly, the requirements are quite low for a new game that’s targeted to ship during Q4 2008 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

The specs you need to run Mirror’s Edge are the following:

  • OS: Windows XP or Vista
  • CPU: Pentium 4 at 2.4 GHz / Athlon 64 2800+
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Gfx card: GeForce 6 Series with 256MB VRAM or higher, or ATI X1650 (or HD2400)

The main question is: would Mirror’s Edge perform well on a system such as this, or would it merely chug? Considering that the developer is Digital Illusions CE, the game’s performance would perhaps be similar to Battlefield 2 on average PCs circa 2005. In English, that means your middle-of-the-road PC can probably run the game. However, there is a price to see all the pretty details–an arm and a leg for the beefy video card.
