Talking Smack for March Madness

Here we were, sitting at the Anchor Bar during a weekend jaunt to Buffalo (more on that later), watching Kansas beat Texas, and getting ready for the unveiling of the tournament bracket in preparation for the March Madness blog pool we joined.
And then The Play in CA had to start talking smack.
First, they dissed the pink and purple template of the blog (which, we feel compelled to note, was not a color scheme yours truly selected. So there!). And even though this bloggerette’s wardrobe consists of a mere two items in pink, never underestimate the power of that hue. Pink is the New Blog isn’t exactly a lightweight in the gossip sector, you know.
Second, The Play in CA clearly doesn’t understand the New England advantage we hold. Our teams our superior, our fans are obnoxiously proud, and we learn our lessons well. Case in point: The New England Patriots weren’t NEARLY cocky enough leading up to the Super Bowl. And look how it turned out. We won’t fall prey to such humility again.
Third, when we fill out our bracket tonight, it will be after many hours of stastical analysis.
Either that or we’ll just use this handy tool Pat sent our way (thanks!), the awkwardly if accurately named Bracketomatic, which can even help you pick your NCAA teams by relative wildness–tameness of their mascot.
