Your PC has hundreds of drivers, services, tasks, and applications loaded and running at any given point. You’ve only got so many system resources; you have limited memory and a finite amount of CPU cycles. It’s time to take back your system, and TaskPower 3 can help. TaskPower 3 lets you view all of the processes running on your machine, and shut them down if you like.

TaskPower 3 adds a bunch of new features to this version, building upon the plethora of features found in version 2. Some of the great new additions include:

• Bit9 Threat Level database to determine security risk of a process
• Ability to view locked files for a process
• Search for a locked file and find which process holds the lock
• Ability to set application- and system-level CPU and Memory alerts
• Displays CPU usage in system tray
• Start and stop profiles to enable you to turn on or off a set of programs. For example, if you want to play a game and know that you need to turn off Messenger and Outlook, you can do it with one click
• Ability to replace Task Manager as the default for CTRL+ALT+DEL
• A new Run command to launch programs from within TaskPower
• Displays new processes as they’re launched
