Business owners who happen to be teens have a unique perspective when it comes to branding their business to reach teens. They can see it from a teens view and then from a business owner’s view so that they can connect with their target audience better.

When delivering your brand message to a teen target audience, there are special things that business owners need to keep in mind so that they can reach the teens. Below is a short of things to keep in mind:

  • Be real or authentic
  • Be the talk of the town; create buzz
  • Be simple in delivering your message
  • Be interactive with your web visitors, ask for their feedback
  • Be inclusive of their teen parents

Keeping these simple things in mind can help you brand your business for teens.

If you are a teen and looking for ideas to start your own business, below are a few things that you can look into.

  • Make jewelry
  • Create candles
  • Start babysitting  or pet sitting businesses
  • Create music beats for use in the creation of songs on a CD
  • Create a lawn care service (raking leaves, mowing grass, snow removal, etc.)
  • Create a errand business (running errands for other business owners, shopping, groceries, etc.)
  • Become a computer assistant
  • Startup an online business
  • Creative baking goods
  • Listing items on Craigslist for others (taking pictures, writing descriptions, etc.)

There are many other businesses that you can start as a teen. All you have to do is put on your creative cap and think of a skill that you love to do and figure out how you can make it into a business.
