Ten Fastest Growing Startups in New York

A recent study, conducted by StartUpHire, found the top ten fastest growing startups in New York. The study was based on positions available and current job openings.
The result of the study found that these ten New York startups are ahead of the pack: Gilt Groupe, Yodle, Acelero Learning, Mimeo.com, GAIN Capital Group, Collective Media, Howcast Media, Liquidnet Holdings, Undertone Networks and BizBash.
Said Mark Heesen, the National Venture Capital Association’s president: “In 2008 companies that were founded and grown with venture capital employed 11 percent of the private sector. Each one of these companies was at one time an emerging startup looking to hire great people. This information from StartUpHire is a strong indicator that even in the current economic climate, startups continue to provide tremendous growth opportunities and are a collective force in regional and national job markets.”
With so many people unemployed in the United States these days, jobs at startup companies are very valuable. StartUpHire found that there are currently many job openings in the New York metro area. In fact, they found that there are more than 600 startup job openings.
