Tennis Stars are Good People Too

Maybe it’s just me, but I sometimes think that all the truly good people in the world aren’t the ones plastered in magazines and making ludicrous amounts of money. However, there are times when I am proven wrong and today was such a day.

Yesterday, Justin Gimelstob’s charity event was short a tennis participant due to weather grounding Murphy Jensen’s flight. If you’re the one putting on a big tennis charity event, that is one big “AHHHH”!

No prob for Gimelstob. Who happened to be in the area? Just Andy Roddick. And when Gimelstob called Roddick up, Roddick showed. I don’t know what the schedule of a No. 6 tennis player’s life looks like but apparently Roddick was able to get out of afternoon tea to be a part of a charity event at a moment’s notice.

Now that is pretty cool and worthy of being slipped in to the “People Make a Lot of Money and Still Do Good Things” book.
