Terrell Owens signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Buffalo Bills shortly after being let go by the Dallas Cowboys. For the first time since signing Owens, Bills players are getting together to start their offseason conditioning programs. Owens, who isn’t known for shying away from controversy, didn’t show up.

However, it should be noted that this offseason program is voluntary. In fact, Owens has almost always skipped these programs when with other teams in his NFL career.
Dick Jauron, the coach of the Bills, earlier in the month pubicly expressed his hope that Owens would take part in offseason voluntary events. As of yet, Owens hasn’t made any comment regarding whether he is planning to attend this 12-week program or if he’ll join the team for May’s voluntary minicamps.
The first time Owens’ attendance is mandatory is at the Bills minicamp that begins in June. Until then, no one is quite sure when, or if, Owens will show his face in Buffalo.
