The Bills decided to rent Terrell Owens for a year.
The 35-year-old Owens caught 69 passes for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns last season with Dallas. But the Cowboys were looking to improve the atmosphere in the locker room and decided they would be better off without him.
“I’m leaving America’s team (for) North America’s team,” Owens said at a news conference.
No one doubts Terrell’s talent. He has more catches in the last 3 years than the much heralded Randy Moss. Owens has 6 Pro Bowls and 9 1,000 yard seasons in 11 years. He is the real deal.
The Bills must be out of their minds. Terrell will end up destroying Bill’s quarterback Trent Edwards. The Bills must be more than desperate. Remember, this is the team that looked to the city of Toronto to save them, so maybe Terrell is just there to drum up ticket sales.
