Thanks for the Memories

March 9, 2007 by admin

This is my last blog post here on Pimp Your Work. I’ve decided to concentrate on my other two blogs: Cube Rules — Career Management for Cubicle Warriors, and Ten Keyboards — Technology for Writers.

This was not an easy decision as Pimp Your Work is a great blog and the b5media team is as well. I was and continue to be drawn to the business model of having great niche blogs built into a vertical channel — such as this blog being part of an overall business channel.

But life is choices and even though I believe I can do good things with Pimp Your Work, I’d like to have a little more time to try and do a few great things with my blogs.

A purple hat tip to all of the readers of the blog! I’ve learned a great deal from all of you and, hopefully, I’ve been able to provide some good tips to help you Pimp Your Work.

  1. [...] Scot’s written his last post–Thanks for the Memories–so it’s just me around here.  You know PYW started off with four writers.  Yes, really.  One dropped out before launch, another soon after, and well now it’s just me.  Yeah, I’ve known about this for a couple weeks and had to keep my trap shut.  Regardless, I thought this would be a good time to ask you, fair readers, what you’d like to read about here.  I’ve been sticking to the techy-geeky stuff.  Such is my lot in life, it’s not a lot, but it’s a life! (Bonus points to the person who gets the movie reference … double points to the person who knows the voice actor). [...]
