The Ab Coaster…The Next "Revolutionary" Overpriced Machine To Target Your Abdominal Muscles.

Ab Coaster The next TV ad for the next revolutionary ab machine is The Ab Coaster. A rather large machine that is made to target your abs. It can be yo9urs for on 4 payments of $99.95. Holy crap! $400 for an ab machine? Are you serious?

NOTICE!!! THEY NEVER SHOW AN OVERWEIGHT, OR OUT OF SHAPE PERSON USING ONE OF THESE MACHINES EVEN THOUGH THAT IS THE AUDIENCE THEY ARE TARGETING.

Ok, Sorry about the caps lock but that’s exactly who they are hoping buys this. The people actually using this machine did NOT get that way by using the Ab Coaster.

They ate right and worked out and some have a natural metabolism that helps them keep that “washboard” belly. I’m not saying that this machine couldn’t keep your abs tight and looking good, but you have to get there first. For 400 dollars you can buy this mostly useless machine that will probably collect dust, get donated to the Salvation Army or Good Will or even end up in next summer’s garage sale items.

The problem I have with these infomercial exercise ads is that most are bogus. They offer a device to work your abs and offer it to you at an outrageous price. The Perfect Pull Up and The iron Gym offer many more benefits than this machine and cost much less.

There are a multitude of ways to get a flat stomach. Dieting and exercise is the first way to go. Don’t waste your money in this economical status on machines like this.

Thanks for talking me off the fence! I was almost ready to buy this machine, but you are right….if I can’t even commit to diet and regular exercise, why should I spend $400+ on this machine that I would more than likely use twice before I tried to get rid of it. Thanks again.

Diet and exercise is the first step, Lacey. This machine is overprice and bulky. There are much more efficient and less costly way to get in to shape. When these commercials come on, it’s best just to change the channel or ignore. There is no magic pill or machine than can substitute for good dieting and exercise. Good luck and if ever I’m in Iowa, I’ll stop by Port City for a slice and a Blue Moon.

I like what your article is saying.. however I think it’s more about your and everyone’s frustration with infomercials that have stolen our buck rather than our fat than it is about the actual Abcoaster’s performance. I just wish that your article was more of a review. Maybe you should give it a shot. I can’t find many forums of people who honestly gave it a real hard try and were dissatisfied. Still, I don’t have that much money to spend and I agree diet and exercise is very important, but so is building those muscles and if I had room and money I would probably invest based on my research.

C’mon, $400 for another ab machine? You can get a gym membership for 1/4 of that and use their dip machine or even do incline reverse crunches for the same result. While you’re there you can use the various other reputable machines to do weight training which it is said to burn more calories longer than a lot of cardio training.

  5. James says:

C’mon if it helps out someones abs who cares if it is $400 – your abs are worth it.

  6. Scott says:

While we’re at it we can spend 300 on our biceps 800 on our glutes and 250 on our traps, cause you know…we couldn’t exercise those muscles without some overpriced machine, right?

  7. Brandon says:

Ya, sure… and what will that “membership” cost you over time? Think about what you are saying. How many people sign up for memberships that they end up not using? I’ve got an eliptical machine, Total Gym, and am now getting the ab coaster. That is good enough for the time being and will probably be the amount of a membership at a gym for a good 2-3 years and I will still have the machines long after that PLUS – I’m far more motivated to use this equipment when it’s right under my nose than I am to “drag” myself to the gym. That is my 2 bits. And yes, I actually use my workout equipment.

  8. Scott says:

OR, you could spend much less money on THIS and get the same exercise movement with less back movement and better form, plus do push ups, pull-ups, dips and sit-ups.
