I think Piers would have played it in different way had it been a long-term game. This man knew what it took to win, in each and every tasks. He actually had a lot of friends in real life, which massively helped him to win the title of Celebrity Apprentice. No way one can get so many friends with short-term attitude to everyone.

I agree some moves Piers took in this show may not be adorable in real life, but let's get it clear, it was a TV game. The No.1 spirit of the show was: Business is business, nothing personal.

Go back to the "as loaded as possible" strategy. It does work in reality. In fact, in most auctions, alchohol was served during the auction, and food afterwards when auction was over and performance was on. What's wrong with it? You can choose not to drink. It is up to you.

Piers' most offensive character was he managed to attack people's weaknesses, and it hurts. Like what he did to Stephen. He called him hypocrite, Stephen could not take it because it was true. It was the truth that really hurts. So he is not a very nice guy, but when you got attacked by Piers, you did something wrong.

Hi Chris, Thank you for visiting Interview Chatter today. I truly appreciate your comments regarding Piers. His tactics throughout the show were questionable if not down right wrong. You make a great point regarding the short term benefits vs. long term. Piers doesn't truly understand the value of relationships in my opinion.

Throughout this entire season I was calling for him to be fired, but in the end he won. "Fair and square"? Questionable. But he played Mr. Trump's game and won. Bitter sweet for me.

Based on the rules of the game I would say Piers was the rightful winner.

But I think that the way he justified decisions, that many would agree would consider unethical, as "good business" was flat wrong. Much of what Piers did worked in the short-term but will drive people away in masses over the long-term.

Deceiving people, getting them drunk in hopes that they will bid money without thinking, is a great example. See if they return again, especially if one of the waiters accidentally lets the plan slip to one of the guests.

But your overall takeaway here is exactly right. Be prepared to answer the hard questions. Why should I hire you?
