Management Zingers #3: Art of Sucking Up

Guy Kawasaki has done a good job of offering tips on how to suck up. You never know when: credibility, empathy, utility, gratitude, obligation, fluidity, and flattery will take you to the next level or at least get you out of trouble.
Click here to get started on sucking up by reading Guy’s take on gratitude (this is not your typical say thank you 20 times a day piece of advice): If you’re trying to get something, express gratitude for what you already have. This works much better than acting pissed off and wronged. Confrontation is not part of the art of sucking up because you can seldom bludgeon someone into helping you.
By the way, the post is not for the faint of heart as Guy “carries” a big stick.
