The Bad Astronomer is Moving to Boulder with his Bad Self

I found out about this when he initially posted, but only just now got around to writing about it.

I’ve never met Phil Plait, but I feel like I have. To me that’s the sign of a good blogger: someone who can connect with their readers on a personal level, make them feel like a friend.

I’ve been reading the Bad Astronomy blog for quite a while and have really been a big fan of his. He is a critical thinker who is able to write and present ideas in an intelligent manner. While I’ve never seen him speak in public, I get the impression he’s a good presenter as well.

Imagine my excitement then, when I found out he’s moving to my neck of the woods. He’s moving out to Boulder sometime this year. Of course, you can’t have a guy like Phil move next door and not try to borrow a cup of sugar, can you?

I sincerely hope I get a chance to meet and perhaps even become friends with the Bad Astronomer, it’ll be exciting having him as a neighbor.

  1. Wow, thanks! I didn’t realize you were in Boulder. In fact, I stumbled on your blog rather late, but I like it! I’ve put you in my blogroll, too. :-)

If I were your neighbor, I’d bring you some sugar, tony. ;)
