Cycling is one of the best things you can do for your health. If you can work cycling into your week, you’re going to be much better off. The biggest bonus may be the low impact on your knees. Cycling is not only softer on the knees but can actually strengthen the joints. Contrast this to running which puts a tremendous amount of wear and tear on the knees and cycling is an obvious cardio alternative.
Surprisingly, cycling also reduces back pain because it strengthens the muscles around your spine. Another benefit is the increased exposure to sunlight that you won’t get inside the gym which gives you vitamin D which can help prevent certain types of cancer.
Of course, cycling will also help you lose weight, strengthens the heart, improve blood circulation, and build a stronger immune system.
