5. Carl Edwards assaults Roush Racing teammate Matt Kenseth following the race.
4. Open wheel circuit drivers Sam Hornish Jr, Dario Franchitti, Jacques Villeneuve, and Patrick Carpentier all announce their jump to NASCAR’s premier series.
3. Joe Gibbs Racing announces the end of their partnership with Chevy and signs the contract to drive for Toyota in 2008.
2. Dale Earnhardt Jr. announces he will leave Dale Earnhardt Inc. following the 2007 season.
