The Amazon package seems quite expensive.

The danger is that with the added leverage of having a monopoly of self publishing Amazon listings, this impacts on competitive pricing in the market too.

Interesting topic
Self publishing is not only about Amazon.com
Most of our Authors Sell their books through multiple channels.
You always have a better profit margin on the books you sell directly to the target market.
This does change things a little but I don't think it is close to the problem it is made out to be.

Thank you, Anne, for having me as a guest at The Golden Pencil. This was fun. I hope your readers will find my post thought provoking and will let us know how they feel about Amazon's decision and self-publishing.
