The Chiefs Get Pioli And A Much-Needed Fresh Start

Thankfully, one of my favorite teams is doing some housecleaning. The Kansas City Chiefs hired Scott Pioli as their new GM. Pioli was part of the genius that created the New England Patriot dynasty.
I hope he can do the same with Kansas City. Considering how poor the AFC West is right now, it’s feasible that this young and talented team can make a complete turnaround next season much like the Miami Dolphins did this season under the helm of Bill Parcells.
Coincidentally enough, Pioli is the son-in-law of Parcells. Football intelligence must run in the family.
Meanwhile, my other favorite team — the lowly Buffalo Bills — hasn’t done a thing to change direction. Owner Ralph Wilson kept a head coach who has one measly winning record in his entire football coaching career, a rookie GM who was the former marketing director, and a slew of other overpaid admins who have their heads up their proverbial football butts.
Out of these two teams, I’m thinking the Chiefs‘ 2009-2010 season is looking much, much brighter.
