The Dhoni Debate

We’ve called him cool, and we truly believed it. But that coolness has failed to show itself in Test cricket. Everybody pardoned Dhoni’s less than stellar performance against Pakistan. Too early, we echoed. But nothing has changed in Australia so far. Just 105 runs in 6 innings. Sehwag came into his own. Pathan bounced back (Interesting, he always gets Man of the Match on bouncing back), but Dhoni has kept everyone waiting. Karthik for Adelaide, anyone?

Doubt it.
I thought his knock in the second dig was fine.
Are you referring to the 38, Uncle?
Hi Dinnie… have you gone into hibernation… not much sound coming these days :).
Yes, sort of. Thanks for understanding.
Will be back full throttle in April
Dhoni is the better bet for ODIs/T20s but in my opinion, Karthik is the better test batsman (and keeper) of the two. Although he won’t get a chance because Dhoni is the vice-captain being groomed to lead the side in the future.
Yeah the 38, at a time when if he went out the game could have turned out much closer
i think the way he is keeping at the moment and being vc…he will be given long rope than say DK…
however i must say that he is in transition fase…where he is trying to balance out his technique between attack and defense…much like same way as andrew symonds…he will be a better batsman after all this as we must give him some space and time to do it…
haveing said that his test match saving efforts at lords and then test wining partnership at perth with vvs can not be ignored…
it’s sexy
