The Dwight Howard Work Out

Dwight Howard is known for his rim rattling dunks and spectacular blocked shots. He also draws praise for his chiseled physique but don’t make the mistake of thinking this superstar doesn’t put in work behind the scenes. In the video below, Kyle Montgomery from NBA.com TV takes us with him as he works out with Dwight and his trainer.
In the video, you can see the various irregular exercises he does that most people never incorporate. For example, Dwight swirls weights around his body for a good warm up stretch and core strengthener and stretches rubber bands during lateral moves.
Dwight’s trainer, Bryan Meyer, also mentions something very helpful to those training for sports. He said most sports are played primarily with one leg so he focuses on single leg strength in his workouts with Dwight. You can see one of these exercises when Dwight takes single leg steps with dumbells down from a bench and then pulls up.
