The new Telsa Roadster Sport 2010 might just be the future of electric vehicles (EV) in a world that has gone hybrid. Hybrids are fine but they still burn gasoline and contribute to pollution. The only way around this is to have a truly electric car.

Electric cars are not new, they have been around since the turn of the century. The drawback then and what still is the case today is problems associated with its electric storage or in other words, its battery. They are big, expensive, and toxic. But if you consider that savings on gas, worn parts and service, the costs are actually minimal.
Telsa Motor engineers felt like they were able to address these issues and are planning to release their first true EV by the end of 2009. The new model are planned to be a sport cars, like the Roadster and Roadster Sport. However a new EV is in the works, the Model S, that promises to be a regular sedan. The theory is that people will embrace EV technology when they realise that it can perform just as good or if not better than a gas powered car in the same class. In fact, Telsa was so convincingly able to do this that they accepted help from Elon Musk, creator and president of Pay Pal who had just landed a whopping $1.5 billion from a deal that sold his company to eBay. Elon said that the decision to back Telsa was a no brainer because he wanted a EV for himself and no other car company was around to make one for him.
If you want to have the new Telsa Sports Car you’ll have to pre-order soon. The price for these revolutionary cars are $140,000. However, they demand a deposit of $12,000 as they are made to order. Deliveries of the Telsa Roadster Sport 2010 should begin late 2009.
