Turn off sound notifications on your facebook profile in the settings. If you don’t know how, just google “facebook quicktime notifiction sound”

The solution that James recommends will stop the plugin notification for *all* future and unrelated missing plugins too! This is really not a good option for most people.

I would recommend rather Googling “Quicktime Alternative” and downloading and installing that.

Hey, you can also stop this message from appearing by unticking the second box on the chat window settings. It’s the option for playing a sound.

about:config is your friend!
I think you’re looking for the plugins.hide_infobar_for_missing_plugin value. Set it to true.
