The Forbidden City in Beijing

Beijing’s Forbidden City, for four centuries the home of the country’s emperors and court, was built in the 15th century and consists of 980 buildings, housing more than 9900 rooms. No longer “forbidden,” the site is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Beijing’s most popular tourist attraction. Take a look:
