The Future of China’s Olympic Basketball Team is TALL

I heard somewhere that Yao Ming will be playing for his home country, China, in the upcoming 2008 Beijing Games. We all know who Yao Ming is, right? At 7′6″ (2.29 m), he’s one of the tallest players in the NBA.

So, China already has Yao Ming — that alone poses a formidable point for the Asian country — but have you ever heard of Sun Ming Ming? He just happens to be a 7′9″ (236 cm), 370 pounds (168 kg) Chinese basketball player, one of the tallest players to ever play professional basketball.

Back in 2005, Sun was declared eligible in the 2005 NBA Draft, and had a brief tryout with the Lakers, but was not selected. And there’s this thing about his tumor.

Can you imagine playing against giants?! Dear me. I really think that China should field Ming Ming.

Thanks Rico for the heads up!

they wouldn’t play Ming Ming!? hell i would if i was them… though i can kinda tell why not… it would be a foul magnet and he is not that quick…

No you cant put him, i know his tall but the question is about his quickness, he is slow, he dont have any moves, he is physically and mentally weak.. He needs to train hard and build musles.. Maybe after 5 more years..
