HD Web

Do you have a FIOS connection that isn’t being used to a full potential? How about a fast cable modem? And I mean come on, who doesn’t? It’s not like we’re still… On…. Dial-up… Wait, that’s me. But for those who love to watch HD content and would like to continue their detailed watching experience on their computer, check out Akamai’s new HD Web “proof-of-concept.” Providers of the content include Apple, BBC Motion Gallery, CBS, MTV Networks and others. You can choose your content flavor in 720p or 1080p, depending on how good a machine you have, and also the bandwidth you have. For 720p streaming content, it recommended that you have a 7.5 mbps connection and for 1080p streaming content, 13.5 mbps connection. Wow. No wonder they have an advertisement for Verizon FIOS on their site. Click the link below to check it out.Read More BusinessWire
