Most video-game based movies are much worse than the actual games but this Zelda indie, The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time, roughly based on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is much better than what you think. Working with just a shoestring budget, a group of budding film producers and hard-core Zelda fans, are coming up with this guesstimated 2-hour Zelda movie (real life Link, Princess Zelda and Ganondorf included).

Coming to you in any format (PAL, NTSC, AVI etc) sometime late fall 2006. Meantime, watch the trailer below.
Inspiration from the Director, Joel Musch…
I’m excited about what we are doing, and hope to be an example to all aspiring filmmakers. I’ve heard so many people talk about making a film, and watch as they never take the second step because they didn’t have the resources. You don’t need 100 million dollars, and a plethora of crewmembers to make a film. Schedule a little free time during your week, write your screenplay, borrow a camera and start shooting!

wat the hell!
why the hell would someone go to so much trouble to make a crappy movie about one of the most ledgendary games in the world what a muppet
hahahah…….this movie looks like in the 80’sand it willsuck!
O Hellz No.. Make it Animated and we MIGHT go easy on you. It COULD be a regular tv series though. ^_^
I think its a great idea. of course i was laughing through the whole trailer cause, well, thats me. its cause i thought everyone looked funny.
This Is one Of The Best Games Of our time, there is much strategy and thinking involved, Being one fo the fans, this movie looks like its not worth the time of day to watch, im sorry butit doesn’t live up to my expectations, of what a proper movie, of a great game should be..if anything, anyone who watches this movie that hasn’t played the game, will be turned off of it, good going .
