The Magic Fat Eraser!!!

Everyday when I go through my bilk box in my Yahoo! email I find the typical slew of spam (Yes I go through it because sometimes good email gets filtered into it). Everyday there is an e-mail about the size of my organ, increasing breast size, the best pet nail trimmer and finally something telling or selling how to lose weight.
Once again, there is no magic pill or “Magic Fat Eraser” that can truly make you lose weight in a healthy fashion and keep it off. That is all up to you. Granted as I have said before that there are people out there with glandular problems that have a harder time losing weight than other, losing weight is all up to you. How you think, how you eat, how you sleep, how you exercise, etc..
How you think: If you set your mind to it and be patient about it, the weight will come of. You have to be determined and persevere through tough times. It won’t shed off like dog hair. It’s going to take time. There will be times that it just doesn’t seem like it’s working and it might take a few months just to shed 10 pounds. You have to have the “never say die” attitude. People that are trying to have a baby don’t give up the first few times they try, even though it’s much more fun trying to conceive than it is trying to lose weight. They try and try again to achieve their goal.
How you eat: The second biggest part of losing weight (Because having the right mind-set is always the first and foremost part of ANYTHING!). The first part of changing eating habits is feeding your brain with knowledge about foods, their pros and cons and how and when to eat them. If you listen to everything everyone else is trying to tell you then you will set yourself up for failure. Do the research for yourself. There are a plethora of online sources to find out about healthy foods, the benefits they posses and healthy delicious ways to prepare them. Try to steer clear of the prepared foods diet plans where you buy in to a membership and they send you food and you eat it. What good does that do for you when you’ve lost the weight and want to start eating your own food. Learn to prepare it for yourself and save your money by researching and becoming your own healer.
How you Sleep and How You Exercise go hand in hand: Too much sleep can cause your metabolism to slow and too little sleep may cause your body to start using muscle for energy and storing fat. On Average 8 hours of sleep is your best bet. Too little exercise may not benefit you much but too much can be bad as well. Your body needs to rest and if you want to maintain your muscle while burning fat and calories you have to get in to a comfortable groove of an exercise habit. If you over-do it the first few times it can be discouraging and often times will make people give up too quickly due to sore muscles and exhaustion. Start out easy and work your way up to the challenge.
Lastly, there is no “magic pill” or “fat eraser”. The only thing that can help you lose weight is you. The right pills may aid you slightly but don’t expect to pop a pill and be able to eat the same as you normally do and lose weight. “Results not typical” ring a bell?
Make time, make effort, make changes. I was watching “Scrubs” the other day and Dr. Kelso was talking to the girl that was very heavy and wanted to take the easy way out and get gastric bypass. He told her that “nothing worth having in this life ever comes easy.”. Those are words to live by.

I totally agree with that. Losing weight and trying to stay physically fit only depends on you. Self discipline is one of the ingredients. Good luck!
