The Monkey Island 2 Speech Project
Did you know that there is a project out on the internet that involves some crazy guy making Monkey Island 2 and game with real human speech instead of that fake computer text that usually makes up for speech in an adventure game!? You didn’t?? Well, you should know about it, because it could change the way we play Monkey Island 2… FOREVER.
The Monkey Island 2 Speech Project is dedicated to making my favorite game of the Monkey Island series all speechy and use voices and EVERYTHING. And what’s even better is that if and when they finish with Monkey Island 2, there may be a project to add REAL LIFE HUMAN VOICE to Monkey Island 1. They won’t be adding any voice to Monkey Island 3 or Monkey Island 4 because… umm… they already have actor voice overs… Silly!

Hello! TheJoe here. Yes, it’s true. And it’s going relatively well. If it was possible, I would wipe MI3 and 4 of most speech and redo it!
