The Most Exciting Weekend in Football: Quarterbacks in College

January 12, 2008 by Allison Boyer

This weekend is thought by many to be the most exciting weekend in football. Of course, there aren’t any college games going on – it is all about the NFL playoffs. (*Insert debate about college ball needing a playoff system here*) What time are the NFL playoff games? This weekend’s match-ups are:

Seattle at Green Bay, today at 4:30 on Fox

Jacksonville at New England, today at 8:00 on CBS

San Diego at Indianapolis, tomorrow at 1:00 on CBS

NY Giants at Dallas, tomorrow at 4:30 on Fox

Who will win these games? I’m no NFL expert, but I tend to think that we’ll see a New England – Dallas match-up. I know, real original right?

But this is a college football blog, not an NFL blog. Thank God, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing it. I thought it would be fun to look back on the top 8 teams’ quarterbacks. What were they like in college? Here’s the rundown:

Matt Hasselbeck, Seattle

Brett Favre, Green Bay

David Garrard, Jacksonville

Tom Brady, New England

Philip Rivers, San Diego

Peyton Manning, Indianapolis

Eli Manning, New York (Giants) (coming soon)

Tony Romo, Dallas (coming soon)
