The New MyYahoo!
Had some time to roam around the ‘new’ MyYahoo! when it finally loaded. It is very slow – yes slower than the ‘old’ one. The first thing I noticed (other than my old theme didn’t seem to play well with this version) was that my feeds didn’t load. It said there was no new content but that wasn’t true. I checked. After I refreshed the page several times, they loaded. I discovered an unadvertised special – at least I think it was unadvertised since I didn’t get to look before I ‘bought’.
If you click on an article to read within one of your feeds, a surprising thing happens – Yahoo Reader opens with the contents of the article. Hmm – it looks a lot like something else I’ve seen lately – anyone want to venture a guess?
If you click on the title of the feed, you go to that site but if you click on one article, the Yahoo Reader opens.
I must correct something I said in response to Eric’s comment. That is – that the new ‘version’ is ugly too. It was ugly with my old theme but when I changed it, it looks ok – not as ugly at all. I’m sure I’ll find something I like.
If Yahoo can ever get its act together so their stuff loads in a reasonable amount of time, I might like this. Since I started using NetVibes (which I really like), it will take a lot for Yahoo to get me back.
