Flu season hit the New York Giants this weekend as they made their way to Arizona for that big, important football game on Sunday. You know, the one hardly anyone is talking about against that New England Patriots team that came out of nowhere.
Hey, we typed that entire sentence with a straight face!
Anyhoo, Madison Hedgecock, Michael Johnson, and Manny Wright missed practice on Friday due to an onslaught of flu symptoms. (Where was the media frenzy for that story? Meanwhile back at the ranch, Tom Brady’s absence got all the buzz). And on Saturday, cornerback Aaron Ross—brace yourself, this isn’t a pretty picture—got sick . . . right on the plane. It gets worse:
[Ross got sick,] causing a one-hour delay upon departure from Newark-Liberty International Airport on Monday, until the mess was cleaned up.
