The Old Man Of The C64
It’s not often I get an unsolicited e-mail as a result of this site, but when I do, I give the sender a fair and balanced response. But this time someone’s actually sent me something agreeable, in the form of a shiny new games blog for unshiny, old, decaying people like me and I assume, my readers!
Geezgamer – presumably referencing geezers which I understand is a slang term for the elderly among some whippersnappers and scallywags – is professional, well-written and aims squarely at mature, adult gamers. They mean adult gamers as in gamers who have grown up, who have embraced their advanced age, who have put away childish things.
They also mean this. NSFW, btw.
Yes, there’s a small but growing (FNARR) section of the site devoted to the other kind of ‘adult’ gamer. I think there’s a debate to be had on the validity of porn-gaming – I tend to look kindlier on those that offer some sort of connection with a living human being somewhere in internetland, as opposed to wanking off over a polygon animated only by the cold, dead brain of a computer – and I applaud them for standing up and having it (OO-ER MISSUS) rather than sniggering in a corner as I’m doing right now.
