The Paypal Week – New Paypal Site is Clean

(Digital Money World) It’s always nice to beam the spot light from time to time on just one huge subject that we can discuss very extensively about.

This week, we will be focusing on Paypal on its strengths and flaws, consumer’s satisfactions and my personal experience them.

I have to give thumbs up to Paypal for its new looks since few months ago is starting to catch my attention. It’s always good to know that the most famous internet payment processor is always trying to improve customer’s experience despite its mass market domination. Navigation is much friendlier than it used to.

Paypal Is Clean

For the Users

Buying or sending payments for Paypal still remain the same. Just send your funds to the recipient’s email with 15 different currencies (I can’t remember this option was there before, probably something new too). eBay shopping is seamless and easy with Paypal (mmn, Paypal belongs to eBay). You can logon your eBay credentials in Paypal and just select the item to pay for with Paypal; and most sellers on eBay will prefer Paypal payment since it’s fast. You can link your Skype account to your Paypal account so you can send funds right through Skype easily.

Adding fund to your Paypal account isn’t tough. As for me who’s in Singapore, the only option I have was

Downloading history for your account is easy with csv or quiken file formats even for accounting. It’s a very well-rounded digital payment processor for Internet payments.

For the Merchants

Shopping cart is easy to implement. Buy Now and Donation buttons are probably the most popular ones with users and merchants with options like shipping method and tax costs could be factored in.

My server provider actually bills me with the subscription option as such the amount is automatically deducted from my Paypal account; and if my account doesn’t have enough, it deducts right from my credit card. This is a good option for subscription items like online magazines and items that require monthly attention; at least this would save much administrative work. Of course, if the subscriber actually cancels the subscription, you will still need to follow up with them manually.

With my business account of 5 years, let’s test out the Merchant options and get some users involved.
