The Positives of Marketing in Newspapers

In recent times, the newspaper industry has taken a huge hit. In fact, many newspapers across the United States have been forced to go out of business. One of the biggest reasons for the struggles is the fact that more and more marketers have decided to move to the online world rather than remain marketing in newspapers.

While online marketing is definitely effective and offers a lot of positives, there are also a number of positives of marketing in newspapers. Here’s a look at a few of the positives associated with newspaper marketing:

Local Guarantee
When marketing in a local newspaper, you are guaranteed to reach a local audience. On the internet, that usually isn’t the case.

Pinpoint Placement
In newspapers, you can usually decide exactly where your ad will appear. That type of pinpoint placement isn’t as easy to accomplish in the online world.

Consistency
The number of people who read a newspaper is consistent. On the internet, traffic can spike and disappear in a matter of minutes.

Reduced Rates
With newspapers struggling to fine advertisers, now is a very good time for marketers to land great advertising rates.
