The Power of Failure

(www.businessandblogging.com) Celine at Pimp Your Work has published a slideshow called 25 Secrets Learned Through Failure created by Taylor Davidson.
Too often we think of failure as simply something to avoid, and overlook the wealth of wisdom we can gain from our fiascos. Davidson has gleaned an interesting collection of insights that I recommend reading, and then adding your own.
If I were going to add a #26 to the list – it would be:
#26. Argue for your limitations.
Instead: Focus so much on your strengths that your short-comings won’t matter.
Don’t talk yourself out of doing something that you really want to do because you’ve never done it before, you don’t have all the credentials, you think someone else might be better at it or you’d be embarrassed if you failed. Instead, trust that the unique blend of intelligence, knowledge, creativity, humor, experiences and insights that you bring to the situation will enable you to succeed. If not the first time, then the next time, or the time after that.
It’s true for blogging, and for so much more.
So – what would your #26 be?

Thanks for reading and thinking about my thoughts. I just think we over-focus on success, especially since the line between failure and success can be so small sometimes.
I love the idea about thinking about #26… I’m going to blatantly copy that and ask people for their #26…
Hi Taylor
I’m glad you liked the writeup – I very much enjoyed your post/slideshow.
It will be interesting to see what other insights people come up with!
Простовато и, скорее всего, не в топ.
